The Bonita Springs Concert Band is gearing up for its second season offering a wide range of musical selections for the enjoyment of everyone of all ages. The band plays pop, ragtime, marches, big band , show tunes and light classics. The conductor, Dr. Dennis Hill, is the former director of music at Edison College and well known for his innovative music.
The band is composed of dedicated area musicians who volunteer their time and talent to bring quality music to the people of Lee and Collier counties. The concert band is made up of musicians of varying ages including talented high school boys and girls. Interactive programs have been initiated within several area schools so that children and teachers alike are offered the opportunity to gain experience in a concert band environment.
The band concerts are free, but free will offerings are accepted during the intermission. Monies collected help to cover the cost of each concert, and help to purchase necessary equipment. The Bonita Springs Concert Band is a 501(c)(3) corporation. Therefore, all donations are tax deductible.
Listed below is a schedule of events. All concerts take place in Riverside Park on Old 41 in Bonita Spring. They are on Sundays at 2:00 P.M. Bring chairs and refreshments and enjoy the wonderful music.
