The November 22nd musical performance of the Bonita Springs Concert Band was vibrant and exhilarating. The varied program, under the direction of Dr. Dennis Hill, included Malaguena, marches by Nestico and Sousa , Holiday for Trombones, and a medley of songs by the Temptations. Ralph Firestone, an accomplished Saxophone player, played a rousing rendition of Harlem Nocturne.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, the band played A Salute to the Colors and The Armed Forces Salute. All the veterans in the audience stood as their branch song was played. The audience was on their feet clapping as the band played Stars and Stripes Forever.
The Bonita Springs Concert Band plays for the community’s enjoyment each month in Riverside Park on Old 41 in Bonita Springs.
